Our Story

Eric Slick is an American drummer and songwriter from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Slick plays or has played with Dr Dog, Natalie Prass, Adrian Belew, and as a solo artist, amongst many others. Slick released his new album, Wiseacre, in fall 2020, which was the inspiration for Volume 1 of his drum samples.

Jeremy Ferguson is an American recording engineer and producer who won a 2019 Grammy Award for engineering the Best Rock album, Social Cues, by Cage the Elephant. Ferguson also produced and engineered Slick’s new album, Wiseacre

The Eric Slick Drum Pack was recorded in early October, 2020 at Jeremy’s Ferguson’s private studio, Battle Tapes Recording, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Two kits (Rogers and Ludwig), 9 Snares (Ludwig, A&F, Jenkins-Martin/Blaemire, and Gretsch), and Eric’s main three cymbals were captured through a 2016 Spectra Sonics SS100 console (the only one in the world), as well as other world class outboard processors from Sound Techniques, BAE, Universal Audio, Spectra Sonics, and Coil Audio through Burl Conversion at 24bit 96kHz for a full, rich sound.
